Thank you for your interest in joining the Green Dot Alaska Team. We are excited to host a Green Dot Instructor Certification Training course. The training will be held on January 29-31 in Anchorage at The Frontier Building, conference room 880. The training will run from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily with a one-hour lunch break.  New participants must attend all three days of training to be considered for Instructor Certification.

Green Dot Alaska is a bystander intervention program that seeks to engage and mobilize community members in their role in preventing violence. We request that you fill out this application because we believe that the messenger matters. As such, members of the Green Dot Team in your community will be expected to practice what they teach and have adequate time and energy to dedicate to this program.

Attendance at the Instructor Training does not ensure that a participant will be signed off as an Instructor. If you feel the Instructor Training is not for you, please let us know another way you would like to be involved. Green Dot is a grassroots program. We encourage you to work with us to figure out ways for you to do your part in making your community safer.

However, if you are signed off as a Green Dot Instructor, you will be able to provide Green Dot Overview Talks and Bystander Trainings for adults in your community. The Green Dot Alaska Community Curriculum cannot be implemented in schools or military institutions. If your primary audience is one of those groups, please reach out to the national organization, (Alteristic) at https://alteristic.org for more information on Green Dot courses that are specifically designed for school and/or military institutions.
