Our Vision is an Alaska that is free from domestic and sexual violence.
Our Mission is to provide safety for Alaskans victimized or impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault through a system of statewide crisis intervention, perpetrator accountability and prevention services.
The Council provides funding to 24 victim services programs throughout Alaska. Additionally, we fund five community-based and seven community readiness prevention grant programs and six community-based and three prison-based battering intervention programs. We provide technical support, education, and assistance to domestic violence and sexual assault emergency shelters and victim services programs; we work to prevent future violence; and we provide services to hold perpetrators accountable and to promote changes in knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to interpersonal violence.
We will share support and education through this web page by providing information on events that include educational and skill-building resources to help our grantees and community partners continue our mission.
