2019 Alaska’s Primary Prevention Summit:

Finding Common Ground: Working Together to Prevent Violence

March 6-8, 2019

Anchorage, Alaska

BP-Energy Center

The Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in partnership with the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, the Department of Education and Early Development, the Division of Public Health, Section of Women’s Children and Family Health and community based non-profit programs from across Alaska, began the Alaska Primary Prevention Summit in 2013. The summit brings in community teams from across the state to  highlight  state and local efforts to reduce and ultimately prevent domestic violence and sexual assault. This year, the Summit will be focusing on the interconnections across multiple health and social challenges which often share common causal factors. A limited number of scholarships are available for community wellness groups and/or prevention teams to apply.
